The diving schedule is thoughtfully arranged around arrival and departure times to ensure safety and comfort. On arrival day, divers complete a check dive, followed by guided dives on subsequent days, with up to two dives daily depending on weather and sea conditions.

A final morning dive may be available on departure day, subject to flight schedules and recommended no fly time guidelines.

Our priority is quality, safety and experience rather than fixed dive counts, allowing flexibility according to ocean conditions and guest preference.

Travelling With a Non Diver

If your partner or travel companion is not yet certified, they may complete their Open Water certification during the same stay, fully integrated into the Ocean Season package.

This allows one guest to enjoy guided dives while the other begins their underwater journey in South Ari Atoll.

Our professional iDive instructors coordinate schedules so both guests can share the experience and maximise their time in the water.

Ocean Hero – Active Holiday for the Ocean (18y +) 

Looking for a luxury resort experience while taking action to protect the ocean? Join our experienced marine biologist team for a once in a lifetime holiday. During the Ocean HERO week at Diamonds Thudufushi, we have 5 full days loaded with hands-on activities and unique experiences. Discover the secrets of the marine world and encounter the magnificent sharks and mantas of the Maldives. Be part of the marine biologist team, who will show you how to evaluate coral health and fish diversity during practical in-water activities. Discover our vibrant marine life and join us in protecting and preserving precious coral reef ecosystems for future generations. Give back to the ocean during our desert island cleaning trip, learn how to regrow a reef during our coral restoration sessions and be part of the largest ‘reef star’ restoration project in the Maldives. All Ocean Heros will receive a certificate of completion from the Maldives Marine Lab in collaboration with MaRHE Center of the University of Milano-Bicocca.
